Several are located downtown, but a handful will expand the horizons of your photographic scavenger hunt.
"I Love You So Much" at Jo's Coffee
Grab a coffee and a photo at arguably the most well-known selfie spot in town.
"Jeremiah the Innocent" on the Drag
Also known as "Hi, How Are You," Daniel Johnston's famous mural on the old Sound Exchange building (now a cleverly named restaurant, Thai, How Are You?) can be found at the intersection of Guadalupe and 21st streets.
The University of Texas tower and fountain
Daytime offers a clear shot of the UT tower, but sometimes it's lit up burnt orange for university celebrations at night. Snap a pic in front of the Littlefield Fountain and join the legions of people who make it one of the most photographed locations in Austin.
"Greetings from Austin" on South First Street
Austin's quintessential postcard selfie spot can be found on South First Street on the side of the Roadhouse Relics building. The mural was created by owner Todd Sanders and friend Rory Skagen.
Congress Avenue Bridge
There are several great photo opps from the bridge. Depending on where you stand, you can get Lady Bird Lake, the downtown skyline, or the Texas State Capitol in the background.
"Our Lady of Guadalupe" on South Congress
Outside Tesoros Trading Company, which happens to be one of the coolest shops on SoCo, you'll find a vibrant mural depicting Our Lady of Guadalupe. This is just one of the excellent pieces of art peppered across the shopping corridor.
Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial at Auditorium Shores
In the Live Music Capital of the World, a selfie with the Stevie statue is a must. The immortal king of the Austin blues holds court over the trail, with Lady Bird Lake and our beloved city in the background.
Paramount Theatre
One of the most famous theaters in Texas, the Paramount celebrated its centennial in 2015 with the reinstallation of the landmark sign. Since then, a must-have selfie includes the marquee with the blade shining brightly.
Willie Nelson statue at ACL Live
A selfie at the corner of Second and Lavaca streets offers a two-for-one shot: local legend Willie Nelson's bronze statue and the iconic ACL Live concert venue. Even photos at night turn out great, because Willie is lit up.
Texas State Capitol
There are literally dozens of great angles to capture this iconic building, from straight-on at Congress Avenue to more secluded spots on the beautiful grounds.
Bullock Texas State History Museum
Everything is bigger in Texas, and Austin's giant Texas-sized star, located outside the Bullock, is the perfect selfie station to show just how small you are compared to the Lone Star State.
Barbara Jordan statue at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
Whether you are coming or going, the statue honoring Barbara Jordan — the first African-American to serve in the Texas Senate since Reconstruction — is there to greet you. The terminal also bears her name.
